Thieves Make Off With Thousands In Jewelry
A local woman reported to authorities Monday that someone had illegally entered her home and stolen thousands of dollars worth of jewelry.
The victim, age 51, reported to deputies with the Lawrence County Sheriff’s Department that she made the discovery around 10:30 a.m. Deputies found no sign of forced entry to the home.
Missing were numerous items including a three carat marquis cut diamond ring, a one carat marquis cut diamond ring, a one carat diamond cluster ring, diamond pendant, baby bracelet, and wedding bands. The items had a cumulative value of approximately $23,400.
The matter currently remains under investigation.
